I share how I have come to learn to deal with this game changer for my life and the other transitions that will continue to evolve.
I also introduce you to my discovery of 'coaching'.
I would like to share more with you on the topic of 'coaching'.
I was so impressed with what I found out about coaching and saw how it was in alignment with who I am that I persued a certification course to become a Coach myself. I have only competed the 'basic course' to put this new skill into practice and have hopes to continue my learning and understanding of 'Coaching' to reach levels of certification.
Now, you can click away if you think this has nothing to do with you but I encourage you to read on and see how it has a lot to with you and can do a lot for you with what you may be dealing with.
See you on the inside......
You see, I needed help myself so that I could learn to better serve you. Part of what I needed help with was how to keep myself emotionally healthier by finding a support system and to understand more of what's inside me.
Does that make sense?
Let me explain a little further.
I have been in the service industry all of my life. I have an innate desire to serve.
But what I have learned is that if I don't take care of myself then I don't give good service which in turn means that I don't take good care of you.
You may be familiar with some of these words: burnout, depression, anger, unappreciated, overwhelmed, overworked, over eating, insecure....the list goes on and you can fill in your own descriptive words.
Many of us that are care givers and have a heart for service fall into this category. I don't have specific statistics to quote you and I don't need any to know that I have seen enough of it in my life first hand to convince me there are lots of us.
There are several that fall into this category of care-giving service; parents caring for children, children caring for parents, volunteers, teachers, military, ministers, church workers, non-profits, the whole medical field and the list just goes on and on. This isn't even the tip of the tip of the iceberg.
Maybe you are in a place where you know you need a new or better support system.
What are you going to do about it? Where are you going to go to find it? How will you find it? When are you going to start? Who will you turn to?
If you honestly think you can do this on your own then you must be a Super Hero.
Sometimes it creeps up on us so silently and quickly that we aren't aware of it until it hits us square in the face.
Remember the descriptive words above?
Don't let it get too late for you. Start now to get ahead of it. If you don't, I can guarantee that it will happen and how will you cope with it then?
If you are reading this and you do already have a support system in place that feeds you, replenishes your energy, renews you regularly, then I applaud you and invite you to please share with us here how you are doing that so that we can learn.
Otherwise I invite you to look closer into coaching to begin helping yourself. There is never any obligation, a coach is a care giver with a heart to help you.
If you want to start somewhere, I invite you to contact me for a free 15-minute session to get you started in your first steps. And if I can't help you I am part of a larger community of coaches that come from many walks of life and different levels of skill sets. Don't put it off one more day.
