But some in my 'mommy circle' have children heading off for college and that creates a whole different set of feelings.
It may take a bit getting use to the new normal but I feel confident we will all get use to the idea of it and I believe we have formed enough of a bond that we will lean on each other if we need a little help from time to time.
Here are some of the faces that I will be missing this school year that I got use to seeing rather frequently and have grown to love very much.
In this picture here are 8 ROTC cadets that received scholarships (there was a 9th but he got away before we got the picture) out of these 8, 6 colleges are represented.
I hope those that thought of me as 'mom' drop a line every so often just to say hey and let me know how they are.
I suspect I will get to see some more than expected, very close bonds were formed with our Sr cadets and during school breaks when they come home I suspect they will probably get together from time to time.
In what sometimes seems like a cynical world, there really are quality and respectful teens that live among us. Not all of them are as they seem to be portrayed. You just need to keep your eyes, heart and hands open, but that is for another article.
I will miss all of you guys. You have left a mark in my life and my prayers and thoughts go with each of you as you move forward in your new life.
