But it's back to school time and we are getting settled into our new routine not just at school but also at home. This is part of my contribution to seaming the ties that bind my family together. (just a little play on words, forgive the pun.)
Having been a seamstress all my life, sewing is natural part of my routine as the need rises...'Mom can you fix this, Mom my button came off, Mom these pants are too long'......but I love being needed by my kids and if my gift for sewing is one way to serve my family then It's a labor of love.
Do you have a labor of love? Do you share it with your family? Do you sew?
Here is a quick tutorial on hemming pants. Can be as simple or as hard as you make it, but after lots of pants hemming I choose simple.
I'll be hemming pants today at home and I'll share with you the process I go through both hand sewing and machine sewing. I have a mixture of dress pants and jeans
Easy enough if you know what your doing but if you not quite sure where to begin then let me be your guide.......
Next time I'll demonstrate another way of hemming dress pants. Until then.....enjoy the journey and enjoy those kids.
